The Advantages of the Swiss Residency Programme

Month 1

Document Preparation

Brookes & Partners will provide you with a detailed checklist of all the documents required for the purpose of the application. We will guide you through the process and ensure that all the supporting documents are correct and compliant with Switzerland’s required standards. This is required for you to:

· sign the contract with the canton of your choice;

· pass the strict due diligence process

 

Month 3

Obtaining Visa D

Once the due diligence process has concluded and you have passed the screening, Brookes & Partners will prepare the relevant documents for the Visa D application. Visa D allows you to enter Switzerland and apply for the Swiss Residence Permit. This process takes 2 weeks.

 

Filing the Papers

Once Visa D has been issued, Brookes & Partners will prepare and submit the documents required for review by the canton authorities. You will need to travel to Switzerland at this stage and register at the police immigration department to which we will assist as well as negotiate with the relevant tax authorities. This process takes 2 weeks.

 

Month 4

Obtaining Swiss Residence

The submitted application and supporting documents are reviews for a period of 2 – 4 months. Once the review has been completed and you receive a positive decision on your case, you will receive a Swiss Residence Permit issued by the canton you elected to reside in. In our experience, the average time to reach a decision is 30-50 Days.

Permits are valid for 1 year, which can be renewed provided an agreement with the canton authorities is reached.
